I will discuss the intersection of organizing and technology through the creation of Carina—a nonprofit, online platform that connects low-income seniors and people with disabilities with union represented caregivers for work and support. Carina values both sides of the marketplace, aiming to enable all platform users to live with dignity.
Abby has been organizing for social justice since the ’90s. She has worked as a union organizer, legislative advocate and campaign director focused on lifting direct care workers out of poverty. Abby believes that technology has the power to transform the way we work and the way workers build collective organization in the 21st century.
