Will technology be the Great Equalizer or the Great Divider? Millions of people access technology platforms every day, yet a small few control who has access to them and how. The answer depends on how social movements and platforms work together to ensure that the potential to connect, in economies and democracies of care, belongs to everyone.
Alicia Garza is an Oakland-based organizer, writer, public speaker and freedom dreamer. Garza is currently the Strategy and Partnerships Director for the National Domestic Workers Alliance and the co-founder of the Black Lives Matter Network.
