Alia is a worker-centric platform to help domestic workers get essential benefits such as paid sick days and accident insurance. Owned by the domestic worker movement, Alia is the first “portable” benefits platform in the country.
Sam Witherbee is an entrepreneur-in-residence with the National Domestic Workers Alliance. Sam blends experience as a community organizer, social entrepreneur and business development specialist to improve working conditions for the nation’s 2 million domestic workers. Previously, Sam launched Peers.org and was a co-founder at Groundswell.org.
