Amin Yosyo represents the Tnunan Smangus, and aboriginal community labor cooperative.
The Smangus tribe live at 1,500 meters above sea level in Jian-shi Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan. Compared to other aboriginal tribes in Taiwan, the Simacus tribe has a unique economic model. The people of the community work together to complete community services, taking turns combing the mountains to pick up the rubbish left by tourists, cultivating and weeding together, building houses together, etc. Each community member receives the same salary each month, and the rest of the income is collected and returned to a public body for collective management.
Amin Yosyo works to protect the lands of the Smangus tribe, ensuring the survival of their virgin forest.
