Caroline Njuki is a dedicated expert with over a decade of experience in migration and forced displacement policy across the Horn of Africa. As the Chief Technical Advisor for the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Kenya, she focuses on inclusive employment and education for host communities and refugees. Before this, Caroline led the Intergovernmental Authority on Development’s (IGAD) Regional Secretariat on Forced Displacement and Mixed Migration, addressing the developmental impacts of displacement. She has worked with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Somalia and a community organization in Berlin aiding African migrants’ asylum processes.

She co-founded the Africa Centre for Displacement and Migration (ACDM) and is widely published, with works including Migration and Human Security in Eastern and Southern Africa (2013). She holds a master’s degree in conflict management from Alice Salomon University and a bachelor’s in history and religion from Kenyatta University.
