Bio
David K. Obonyo is a career civil servant who joined the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Bank Kenya in 2021. He holds a Master of Arts in Rural Economics and Cooperation from Bundelkhand University, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science from Agra University, and a Diploma in Industrial Relations from the Indian School of Labour Relations. He has over 27 years of experience in the cooperative movement, having worked in various leadership roles across Kenya. He is currently the Commissioner for Cooperative Development and serves on the boards of New Kenya Cooperative Creameries Limited and Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA).
