Sebonkile C. Thaba is a member of the Young African Scholars Network and a lecturer and Community Engagement Coordinator in the Department of Transport at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. She is pursuing a Doctoral Degree at UJ and has been awarded the ADAPTT Scholarship, a collaboration between the United States and South Africa Higher Education Network. Sebonkile serves as the president of the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management UJ Student Chapter. She has published 21 conference papers and two book chapters. Her research interests include Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Life Cycle Assessment, Enterprise Development, and Sustainable Transport (renewable energy).
