Bio

Shikoh Gitau is a digital innovator and entrepreneur, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Qhala, a global digital transformation firm, since January 2020. She is also a Board Director at The Tech Interactive in San Francisco, a Board Member at Longhorn Publishers Plc, and an Advisory Council Member for the Women in the Digital Economy Fund (WiDEF). Shikoh holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor’s degree from Africa Nazarene University. She is known for inventing the mobile applications M-Ganga and Ummeli, and has been recognized with the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship and the ABIE Change Agent Award. Shikoh was named one of Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 Women and is an active Fellow at the Ubuntu Foundation.
