Bio
Tina Mfanga is a Social Justice Lawyer with extensive experience in organizing for social, economic, and ecological justice, advocating from a leftist feminist perspective. She is the founding member of the Manzese Working Women Cooperative (UWAWAMA), which fights against oppressive systems targeting women and workers while promoting humane alternatives. Currently, she serves as Chairperson of UWAWAMA, Coordinator for Pan-African and International Solidarity at the Tanzania Socialist Forum (TASOFO), and Vice Chairperson of the Tanzania-Western Sahara Solidarity Committee (TASSC). She previously served as TASOFO’s General Secretary for four years. Tina holds an LL.B. from the University of Dar es Salaam and a postgraduate degree in Sustainable Development and Global Justice from the University of Antwerp.
