Stuart Fulton is the Director of Change at Comunidad y Biodiversidad (COBI) and a co-founder of the ocean start-up Servicios Digitales para la Pesca Sostenible SAPI de CV which was founded in 2022 to host the PescaData technology for small-scale fishers and fishing organizations. Stuart has worked for over 15 years in marine conservation and sustainable fisheries in Mexico and Latin America, with a particular focus on citizen science, community marine reserves and fish spawning aggregations. More recently, Stuart as promoted the use of technology in Latin America´s small-scale fisheries resulting in the creation and development of the PescaData mobile app and enterprise software. PescaData provides software as a service for Latin America´s thousands of small fishing cooperatives and organizations to help them bridge the digital divide and move towards sustainable practices through better data management and peer to peer interactions.
