Bio
Charlotte Ducuing is a Ph.D. fellow at the Centre for IT and IP Law (CiTiP) at KU Leuven, focusing on the regulation of data as an economic resource in EU law. Her journey began with a Master’s in law from the University of Lille and a specialization in European law, followed by a Master’s in political sciences and an LLM in Intellectual Property and ICT Law from KU Leuven. Before CiTiP, Charlotte served as an in-house lawyer for the Belgian Railways and as a teaching assistant at ULB, Belgium. Her research spans datafication in society, privacy, cybersecurity, and the digital implications of new technologies, including blockchain, AI, and digital infrastructure. Her current work explores data marketplaces and digital product passports in the circular economy. Charlotte contributes to the INFO-LEG project, examining legal protections against information-induced harms.
