Bio

Jen van der Meer is a business model designer and faculty member at Parsons School of Design Strategies at The New School, where she co-directs the Impact Entrepreneurship Initiative. Her expertise lies in creating business models that prioritize human health, social justice, and environmental impact. Jen’s practice advises companies, NGOs, not-for-profits, open innovation partnerships, and impact investors with governance and scenario tools to make bold decisions.

Jen is a recovering Wall Street tech analyst who found her way to design firms like Organic and frog design, and she previously taught at NYU’s ITP program and SVA’s Products of Design school. She holds a BA from Trinity College and an MBA from HEC.
