Pronouns: she/herSimy Joy researches societal, institutional and organizational sources of inequality, exclusion, and injustice; and social innovations (including technology), and organizational forms (including community based organizations, social enterprises, socio-tech enterprises and micro-enterprises) that attempt to engender equality, inclusion and justice. Winner of multiple international research awards, she has co-authored and co-edited several books on social and socio-tech innovations. Simy Joy holds a PhD from Case Western Reserve University, USA, and is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy, UK. She has served as a faculty member at the University of East Anglia, UK and at the IIM Kozhikode (IIM-K), and was a founding member of the Center of Excellence for Social Innovation (CESI) at IIM-K.
