Vinay Narayan is a Senior Manager at Aapti Institute, focusing on the complexities of digital infrastructures and the role of supporting digital tools in shaping equitable governance frameworks. His current research aims to deepen the understanding of data’s criticality within these systems. Vinay leads Aapti’s initiatives on data cooperatives, with a strong emphasis on building networks of support specifically tailored to the Global South. Additionally, he plays a key role as a member of the Steering Committee of the Global South Alliance, a collective of 15 civil society organizations committed to fostering mutual learning and advancing digital rights from a Global South perspective, emphasizing inclusive and community-driven data governance models.
